Pada tanggal 2-4 Februari 2023 di Plasa Cibubur berlangsung sebuah event unik yang sangat jarang diadakan di mall, yaitu “Festival Pencak Silat Seni Tradisi Terbuka – Plasa Cibubur Cup I 2023 Kota Bekasi” memperebutkan piala Drs. H. Deddy Surjadi, yang diselenggarakan oleh Padepokan Pencak Silat Sangsaka Buana Indonesia. Saya mendapatkan undangan dari pak Ajar Rustanto, Manajer Operasional Plasa Cibubur yang juga pegiat Pencak Silat.
Sebenarnya penyelenggaraan event tersebut di Plasa Cibubur menjadi cita-cita pendiri Plasa Cibubur yaitu Drs. H. Deddy Surjadi yang sudah berpulang, baru pada Februari 2023 cita-cita beliau dilaksanakan oleh Dirut Plasa Cibubur yang sekarang yaitu Ibu Ita (putri H. Deddy Suryadi).
Acara terdiri dari lomba Pencak Silat Seni Tradisi yang digolongkan ke dalam beberapa kategori: Pelajar SD, SMP, SMA & Mahasiswa; yang masing-masing dibagi menjadi pria dan wanita. Saya berkesempatan datang ke event tersebut pada Sabtu, 3 Feb 2023 yang mana mulai jam 8.00 kategori remaja dipertandingkan.
Beberapa perguruan Pencak Silat yang kebanyakan dari daerah Jabodetabek dan Jawa Barat berkumpul dan bergerombol sesuai dengan perguruannya masing-masing. Pada bagian tengah terdapat arena penampilan yang karena keterbatasan ruang mall berukuran 7m x 7m (standardnya 10m x 10m). Pada sisi-sisinya terdapat meja juri, panggung gendang pencak, dan pada sisi terakhir terdapat penonton.
Saya menikmati penampilan kategori remaja baik pria maupun wanita. Gerakan Pencak Silat yang ditampilkan menyerupai tarian, menghentak seiring dengan gendang dan ditingkahi oleh suara melodi alat musik trompet. Pencak Silat ternyata terbagi 2 aspek, yaitu untuk tarung (bela diri) dan untuk seni (penampilan). Yang diperlombakan dalam ajang ini adalah Seni Tradisi.
Aura kekeluargaan dan persaudaraan sangat terasa di seluruh pelosok ruangan, digambarkan dengan para anggota perguruan Pencak Silat yang sedang tidak bertanding memberikan cheers kepada rekan mereka yang sedang bertanding. Kekerabatan antar perguruan juga sangat terlihat. Suasana jadi seperti reuni perguruan Pencak Silat saja, jauh dari suasana kompetisi.
Setelah rampung kategori remaja saat makan siang, diselingi makan siang, jam 2 dimulai acara seremoni “Pembukaan” yang dilakukan pada hari kedua dikarenakan mencocokkan jadwal dengan tokoh-tokoh Pencak Silat undangan, termasuk salah satunya sesepuh Pencak Silat Indonesia yaitu Eddie Nalapraya, yang pada Desember 2019 telah berjasa membawa Pencak Silat sebagai warisan budaya tak benda khas Indonesia.
Pembukaan itu sendiri dimeriahkan oleh penampilan seni tradisi Pencak Silat gabungan dari beberapa perguruan, diiringi dengan gubahan lagu “Tanah Airku” ciptaan ibu Sud yang menggugah rasa nasionalisme; disambung dengan penampilan koreografi gabungan antara Line Dance dan Pencak Silat yang antara lain dilakoni oleh pak Tanto sendiri. Kemudian kata sambutan beberapa tokoh Pencak Silat dan diakhiri oleh penghargaan yang diberikan kepada para tokoh dan pelaku Pencak Silat, salah satunya kang Eka Permana, pemilik sanggar seni Kaisar Bilqis yang berlokasi di Cianjur, yang mana saya sempat berbincang dengan beliau. Kang Eka menerima penghargaan antara lain karena mengembangkan Pencak Silat menjadi Senam Sehat Pencak Silat sehingga lebih aksesibel dan menjadi arus utama (mainstream).
Akhir kata, Pencak Silat adalah salah satu asset budaya bangsa yang seharusnya mengemuka di Indonesia (bukannya kebudayaan bangsa lain semisal K-Pop) karena telah ditetapkan sebagai warisan bangsa. Festival Pencak Silat Seni Tradisi adalah salah satu usaha anak bangsa pada tingkat akar rumput (grassroots) untuk melestarikan warisan budaya bangsa, yang seharusnya disikapi serius oleh pemerintah agar seni budaya Pencak Silat bisa menjadi tuan rumah di negeri sendiri.
